There is no magic or high-tech trickery involved in installing your newly
purchased Speed Camera's
Info
This application provides a speed camera warning system for suitable Series 60 3ed phones.
It is designed to operate either in conjunction with Nokia Maps, or in the background
(e.g. whilst using another application or in standby)
and popup to the foreground with an audio visual alert, then return to the background
Due to the restrictions imposed by Symbian Signed, Speed Cam v2.0 will need "Signing" via the "Open Signed" Section
This application has been tested on a N95-1 running V21 firmware and latest Nokia Maps v2 http://europe.nokia.com/A4984199 using both the internal GPS and an external BlueTooth GPS,
but should work with other Series 60 3ed phones that support Location Based Services.
Install
1, Sign all 3 apps (Speedcam, Appswitch, Locationrequestor) via www.symbiansigned.com
Symbian Signed:
· For each of the above modules (Speedcam, Appswitch, Locationrequestor) that
need to be signed, fill in the form at:
https://www.symbiansigned.com/app/page/public/openSignedOnline.do
· To get your IMEI number, enter *#06# on your phone.
· Ensure you select all the Capability information check boxes.
· On completing the form you will shortly receive an email.
Click on the link
within to confirm.
· You will then shortly receive another email containing a link to download the
signed module.
2, Connect your Mobile Phone to your computer via the USB port according to
Nokia's manual
Your computer should see the TomTom as a "Removable Disk".
3, Copy all 5 Apps onto your storage device,
PhoneSpeedCam_v2_1_0.sis module that provides the Speed Cam application. (This must to be signed)
SpeedCamData_v1_3_0.sis module which is self signed and is installed to
the memory card.
Appswitch103.SIS module that provides foreground / background
switching (This must to be signed)
Llocationrequestor_3rd_opensign.sis module that provides the
interface Speed Cam App. (This must to be signed)
PythonForS60_1_4_4_3rdEd.SIS file. (Signed By Nokia, but must be
installed to the phone memory)
4, Unplug your device and install each application from the 'File Manager' (built into your phone)
5, Once installed restart your device and connect back to (as in Step 2)
6, Download your speed camera database files from the link emailed to you (once purchased) and copy it to the 'speedcam' folder
7, Restart you device and load up your Speed Cam Software and then load up Nokia Maps Software
Activate
To enable the new Speed Camera's on your device:
1 .Open 'Change Preferences' from the Main Menu.
2. Select 'Enable POI's', Tick the Speed Camera's you want to show on your route's
3. If you have correctly followed the steps, your new points of interest will be shown on the routes planned |
